Job description Role Opportunity Senior Structural Designer opportunities available to work across a diverse portfolio of mining and mineral processing projects with a leading engineering consultancy.
Position 1: Strong MicroStation experience required.
Position 2: Solid Advanced Steel software required Benefits: Initial 6 months contract duration with view to extension Perth CBD based and strong project portfolio Competitive hourly rate offered Qualifications Skills Extensive experience as a Structural Designer within mining, minerals processing, resources, or heavy industrial environments.
Strong brownfield and sustaining capital project experience.
Proficient with structural design and modelling software such as MicroStation, OBD, AutoCAD, Advanced Steel, Smart 3D, or similar platforms.
Experience producing structural steel and reinforced concrete design documentation.
Strong understanding of mining process plant infrastructure and multidisciplinary project delivery.
Ability to work collaboratively within a consulting engineering environment and manage multiple project priorities.
Duties Responsibilities Develop detailed structural design and drafting deliverables for mining and heavy industrial projects.
Produce 3D models, general arrangements, detailed drawings, and construction packages.




Coordinate closely with Structural Engineers, Designers, and other engineering disciplines.
Support brownfield site upgrades, equipment replacements, remediation works, and plant modifications.
Participate in design reviews, interdisciplinary coordination, and constructability assessments.
Ensure deliverables are produced in accordance with client specifications, Australian Standards, and project requirements.
