A well-established, family-owned and operated stone fruit farming business is looking to expand its team with reliable and motivated Horticultural Workers.
SkillQuest Solutions are seeking several qualified and experienced Horticultural Workers on behalf of our client, a respected producer of premium white and yellow peaches and nectarines.
Based in Renmark North, South Australia, the business specialises in growing, packing and exporting high-quality stone fruit.
Position – Skilled Horticultural Worker Location – Renmark North, South Australia **** Salary - $78,000 - $84,000 plus superannuation per annum (based on experience) Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent THE ROLE: We are looking for committed Horticultural Workers who take pride in producing quality crops, maintaining safe work practices, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of a busy stone fruit farm.
The role is full-time and ongoing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops in accordance with seasonal production schedules.
· Operate, monitor and perform basic maintenance on irrigation systems to promote healthy crop growth.
· Prepare and improve soil conditions through the applciation of fertilisers and organic materials.
· Monitor crops for weeds, pests and disease, and assist with appropriate control measures using integrated pest management practices.
· Grade, pack and prepare produce for distribution while maintaining quality standards.
· Safely operate and care for farm equipment, machinery and hand tools used in daily operations.
· Comply with workplace health and safety procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:



· Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate IV in Horticulture (or agreed equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience in horticultural operations.
· Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting heavy loads and working on ladders, in accordance to WHS regulations.
· Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including early morning starts during colder months.
· Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday.
· A positive attitude with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
· A willingness to learn and apply new processes and techniques quickly.
· Excellent hand/eye coordination and attention to detail.
· A reliable, safety-conscious, and hard-working attitude.
· Sound understanding of basic farm equipment, machinery, and crop maintenance practices.
· A commitment to safety and applying protected-working practices.
· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
WHAT IS ON OFFER: · A market-competitive salary of $78,000 to $84,000 (negotiable, based on experience) plus superannuation per annum.
