SHRI GANESH CORP PTY LTD, trading as Ribs and Rumps Knox , is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team for our new restaurant opening in Knox.
We are looking for a skilled culinary professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality food and maintaining excellent kitchen standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new hospitality venue and contribute to establishing efficient kitchen operations and exceptional dining experiences for our customers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Planning menus in consultation with management.
Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with budget control.
Ordering, receiving and managing food supplies and kitchen inventory.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation.
Discussing food preparation issues with management and kitchen staff.
Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising staff on cooking procedures and food preparation.
Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to a consistently high standard.
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.




Explaining and enforcing hygiene and sanitation standards within the kitchen.
Assisting with the recruitment, selection and training of kitchen staff as required.
Supervising kitchen operations and maintaining an efficient workflow.
Freezing, preserving and storing food items in accordance with food safety requirements.
Maintaining consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation standards.
Supporting kitchen operations during the restaurant opening phase.
Skills and Experience Required Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent industry experience.
Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen setting.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
