ASIC's RegistryConnect Program is seeking an experienced and accomplished Lead Solution Architect to provide strategic leadership in the design, delivery and governance of solution architecture across the program.
RegistryConnect is a significant transformation initiative focused on delivering reliable, secure, trusted and efficient registry services that support Australia's economy and deliver value for all Australians.

The team
The RegistryConnect Program Architecture Team provides architectural leadership, governance, standards and design assurance to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reusable, and aligned with ASIC's strategic objectives and the RegistryConnect target architecture.
The role
The Lead Solutions Architect provides architectural leadership and oversight across a portfolio of RegistryConnect initiatives, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, architectural principles, program standards and target-state architecture.
They will collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, architects and technology specialists to guide solution design, govern key architectural decisions, manage technical risk and assure the delivery of secure, scalable, resilient and maintainable outcomes.
More specifically, you will:
* Lead the development, maintenance and governance of key architecture artefacts, including the RegistryConnect reference architecture, platform blueprints, architecture decision records and strategic architecture roadmaps.
* Provide architectural leadership to ensure solution designs align with ASIC's strategic vision, enterprise architecture principles,
technology standards and target-state roadmaps.
* Coach, mentor and support architects across the program, fostering architectural excellence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, business-aligned solutions.
* Provide strategic direction and oversight across the business, data, application and technology architecture domains, ensuring cohesive and integrated solution outcomes.
* Contribute to the continuous enhancement and effective operation of ASIC's and RegistryConnect's architecture governance frameworks, processes and practices.
* Act as the deputy to the Chief Architect, RegistryConnect, providing leadership, decision-making support and delegated authority as required.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role, is a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect with a proven track record of leading architecture outcomes within large-scale, complex transformation programs.
They will bring strong expertise across application, integration and enterprise architecture, combined with the ability to influence stakeholders, guide strategic technology decisions and drive architectural governance.
A collaborative and influential leader, they will be adept at balancing business objectives, regulatory requirements and technical considerations to deliver RegistryConnect Program's strategic goals.
In addition, you will have:
* Extensive experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or a comparable architecture leadership role within large and complex enterprise environments.
* Demonstrated success in providing strategic leadership and expert guidance across application architecture, integration architecture, API management, and enterprise integration patterns.
* Experience operating in complex, multidisciplinary delivery environments,
with additional expertise in areas such as project management, software development, business analysis, or technology.
* Strong knowledge of enterprise technology platforms and cloud ecosystems, including Boomi, Microsoft Dynamics 365, OutSystems, .
NET, SharePoint, Optimizely, Databricks, Azure, and AWS, with experience delivering solutions within secure and regulated environments.
* Proven ability to take ownership of complex architectural, technical and delivery challenges, driving issues through to resolution while balancing business, risk and technology considerations.
* TOGAF certification, or equivalent enterprise architecture qualification, is highly desirable.
