Role Purpose The Quality Manager supports the delivery of high-quality, compliant projects across TSL by ensuring that quality management systems, processes, and controls are effectively implemented and maintained across all projects.
Operating as part of the Q-EHS function and reporting to the Q-EHS Director, the Quality Manager works closely with Project Teams, Site Management, and the wider Q-EHS team to embed quality requirements into day-to-day project delivery, support assurance activities, and drive continuous improvement in line with TSL Job Title Quality Manager Team Quality EHS Location Australia - Sydney Reports to Q-EHS Director Direct reports N/A standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Quality Systems Governance • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of TSL's Quality Management System (QMS) across projects and sites.
• Ensure quality policies, procedures, and work instructions are applied consistently and remain fit for purpose.
• Assist the Q-EHS Director in maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards, certifications (including ISO), and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of quality documentation, templates,
and tools used across the business.
2. Regulatory Compliance Audit Support • Support compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards applicable to construction and project delivery.
• Assist with quality risk identification and mitigation activities during project planning and delivery.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, inspections, and assurance reviews.
• Maintain accurate quality records and documentation to support audit readiness and compliance reporting.
3. Quality in Project Operations • Work with Project Managers and Site Teams to integrate quality requirements into project planning, execution, and delivery activities.
• Review project quality documentation, including inspection and test plans, quality records, and handover documentation.
• Monitor project-specific quality performance, identifying trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide guidance on quality requirements during bid, proposal, and execution phases, as required.
4. Operational Quality Assurance • Undertake quality inspections, audits, and reviews across active projects, documenting findings and agreed actions.
• Monitor and support the close-out of quality non-conformances, defects, and corrective actions within agreed timeframes.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action (CAPA) processes in collaboration with project teams.

5. Continuous Improvement Capability Building • Promote a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement across project and site teams.
• Support initiatives to improve quality performance, efficiency, and consistency across projects.
• Assist in the development and delivery of quality-related training, guidance materials, and lessons learned.
• Share quality insights and improvement opportunities with the Q-EHS Director to inform broader Quality and EHS initiatives.

Collaboration within the Q-EHS Function • Work collaboratively with Q-EHS colleagues to ensure alignment between quality, safety, and environmental management systems.
• Support the Q-EHS Director on cross-functional assurance activities, improvement initiatives, and reporting requirements.
• Provide practical, project-focused quality advice while maintaining alignment with governance frameworks.
7. General Responsibilities • Provide day-to-day quality support and advice to project and site teams.
• Undertake other reasonable duties related to quality management as directed by the Q-EHS Director or senior TSL leadership.
Key Relationships • Internal: Project Managers, Site Teams, Q-EHS Director, Q-EHS Team and wider project delivery, Commercial, Design, Construction and support functions as required.
• External: Clients, client representatives (quality-related matters), contractors, subcontractors, statutory authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications, Skill and Experience Essential • Degree or formal qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in a Quality Management or Quality Assurance role within construction or project-based environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality assurance processes.
• Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance activities.

• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
Desirable • ISO Lead Auditor or similar quality-related certification.
• Experience supporting quality systems across multiple projects or sites.
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma).
• Familiarity with digital quality management or reporting systems.
