Position Description: We are now seeking to recruit an experienced Cook who is keen to demonstrate and develop his/her skills in a dynamic kitchen setting.
Key tasks include: Washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits vegetables to prepare them for consumption; Carving and trimming foods to ready them for different dishes; Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes personal judgment; Regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills,



and roasters; Seasoning and cooking foods according to recipes personal judgment; Turning stirring foods to ensure even cooking; Observing and testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently; Portioning, arranging, and garnishing dishes, and passing them to wait-staff for service; Estimating food requirements and storing foods in temperature controlled facilities; Minimising food wastage and maintaining excellent hygiene standards; Assisting in training other kitchen staff where required.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III or relevant degree qualification in related fields with 1 year of prior experience as a Cook or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role may substitute for the formal qualifications.
