Reporting directly to the GM of Safety, you'll take ownership of HSE performance across your remit of QLD operations, partnering with senior leaders and project teams to influence culture, strengthen systems and drive meaningful safety outcomes.
This isn't a compliance-focused role.
It's a leadership position for someone who enjoys building capability, coaching operational teams and creating environments where safety is owned by everyone.
What you'll be doing: You'll provide strategic and operational HSE leadership across multiple projects while leading a team of experienced HSE Advisors.
Your focus will include: Leading safety strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coaching and developing operational leaders and HSE professionals.
Supporting major infrastructure projects through practical risk management.
Leading complex incident investigations and driving preventative action.




Ensuring legislative compliance and management system effectiveness.
Partnering with senior stakeholders to embed a proactive safety culture.
What we're looking for: You'll already be operating in a senior HSE leadership role within civil construction, infrastructure, mining or another heavy industry environment.
You'll bring: Proven experience leading HSE teams across complex project environments.
Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership capability.
Experience influencing operational teams rather than policing them.
A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
