About the job DevOps Solution Designer Key responsibilities ● Design and development of automated solutions for planning, design, deployment, provisioning and operational engineering functions (end to end).
● Responsible for the solution design and development of the end to end fully automated integrated transport network planning solution.
● Responsible for a modular and scalable solution designs that is cloud, container and microservices based while also interfacing to our current Digital eco system.
● Responsible for solutions that meet the regulatory and compliance standards.
● Lead the technological evolution bringing in industry and competitive knowledge from the market to steer our roadmap to suit the dynamic and volatile eco system Required knowledge/ skills: ● Sound Knowledge on PAM and Ansible applications.
● Knowledge of DevOps development principles and CI/CD ● Track record of successfully designing, developing and deploying software in test and production environments.
6 to 7 years' software development experience working in a Telecom IP Networks /transport network environment.




● Proficient knowledge of Python min 7 years' experience ● Experience with Javascript and React Web Framework for frontend development ● Basic understanding network protocols Segment Routing, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS and Traffic Engineering ● Expertise with routers Cisco/Juniper/Nokia ● Good knowledge Ansible for infrastructure and network Automation ● Strong understanding of fundamental changes to the software and technology business driven by DevOps and the move to cloud computing and APIs, and micro-services is critical.
● A deep understanding of how to consume and design RESTful APIs ● Database Experience; SQL, MySQL and/or Postgres ● Knowledge of a conventional software development lifecycle, development, test and deployment (e.g. Waterfall, Kanban, SCRUM) ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical scenarios in simplified 'business relevant' terms.
● Learning agility to stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving NetDevops niche skill domain ● Solid team work skills and ability to collaborate across many cross-functional domains to drive towards one purpose ● Strong problem solving skills to navigate through complex and uncertain challenges to come up with the solutions that present the best business outcome in both the short and long terms.
