Our client URGENTLY requires a Mainframe Senior Systems Programmer for 12 months + Contract in Darwin.
The Mainframe Senior Systems Programmer will provide a senior technical leadership for the mainframe platform and is responsible for supporting and maintaining the z/OS operating system, associated infrastructure, and supporting software toolsets. You will contribute to the reliable delivery of mainframe services through effective system programming, infrastructure planning, and operational support.
Responsibilities include:
Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the Mainframe Technical Services team.
Deliver expert system programming support for z/OS and associated products, and lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents and problems.
Develop and maintain operational procedures, standards and documentation,



and provide strategic technical advice to the management on mainframe technologies, industry trends, and infrastructure planning.
Support the planning, design and implementation of projects and system changes affecting the mainframe setting.
Government experience would be highly advantageous.
