We are seeking an experienced Commercial Energy Solutions Delivery Manager to build and lead this exciting division.
Position Summary
The Commercial Energy Solutions Delivery Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of all commercial solar, battery storage and hybrid energy projects from contract award through commissioning and customer handover.
The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while creating an outstanding customer experience.
This position will establish the systems, processes and team that will support Magellan's rapid national growth.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
L
ead the delivery of all commercial energy projects including:
Commercial solar PV
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
EV charging infrastructure
Hybrid Power Booster systems
Community batteries
Microgrids
Stand-alone power systems
Manage projects from:
Contract handover
Site survey
Engineering coordination
Procurement
Manufacturing coordination
Installation
Commissioning
Customer acceptance
Project close-out
Project Planning
Develop detailed
Project plans
Resource schedules
Procurement schedules
Installation schedules
Commissioning plans
Risk assessments
Monitor progress and implement corrective actions when required.




Customer Management
Be the primary customer contact during project delivery.
Provide:
Regular progress updates
Issue management
Variation management
Site meeting coordination
Final project handover
Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
Installation Management
Manage internal and external installation teams.
Coordinate:
Electricians
Solar installers
Civil contractors
Crane companies
Network operators
Commissioning engineers
Ensure all contractors meet Magellan's safety and quality standards.
Manufacturing Coordination
Work closely with Magellan manufacturing teams to ensure:
Production schedules meet project timelines
Factory acceptance testing completed
Equipment shipped on schedule
Documentation complete
Quality inspections completed
Financial Management
Monitor:
Project budgets
Labour costs
Material costs
Variations
Cash flow
Progress claims
Gross margins
Identify risks before they affect profitability.
Safety Leadership
Ensure compliance with:
WHS legislation
Electrical regulations
Solar installation standards
Battery safety requirements
Environmental requirements
Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
Continuous Improvement
Develop and improve:
Project delivery processes
Standard documentation

Experience
Essential
Minimum 8 years delivering commercial electrical or renewable energy projects
Proven experience managing projects valued between $250k and $20M
Strong knowledge of commercial solar
Battery storage experience
Electrical infrastructure experience
Contractor management experience
Desirable
Utility-scale battery experience
Community battery experience
Microgrid experience
UPS or critical power experience
Mining industry experience
Qualifications
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
Project Management qualification (preferred)
