The Solar Electrician will install, wire, and commission rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems, including inverters, switchboards, and associated protection devices.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting site assessments, reading and interpreting electrical and solar designs, performing fault-finding and repairs, and completing routine maintenance and safety inspections.
The role involves testing and verifying system performance, ensuring compliance with relevant electrical and solar standards,



and accurately completing documentation and reports.
The Solar Electrician will collaborate with other technicians, project managers, and clients to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality solar installations.Qualifications Relevant electrical trade qualification, valid electrician license, and eligibility to work in AustraliaDemonstrated experience with solar PV installation, inverter configuration, and general electrical systemsStrong knowledge of electrical safety standards, local regulations, and industry best practicesAbility to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specificationsCompetence in using electrical test equipment and basic hand and power tools safelyGood problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safe work practicesEffective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a field-based team environmentPhysical ability to work at heights, handle equipment, and perform hands-on installation tasksCurrent driver's license; White Card and solar accreditation (e.g., CEC) are highly regarded
