About the role Farmers Bakehouse is an artisan bakery specialising in hand-crafted bread, cakes, pastries, and our famous pies.
Our team bakes many styles of artisan bread, cakes and desserts which are all 100% free of artificial preservatives and are hand crafted.
We are seeking a talented Pastry Cook to join our baking team in Dubbo, NSW.
This is a full time position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic bakery environment where creativity and craftsmanship are at the heart of everything we do.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries , desserts and baked goods to the highest standard, contributing to the reputation and success of our bakery.
You will work as part of a dedicated team, bringing your skills and passion for pastry making to deliver exceptional products to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing Preparing and baking a diverse range of pastries, including croissants, Danish pastries, tarts and seasonal specialities Following established recipes and techniques whilst maintaining consistency in quality, flavour and presentation Preparing fillings, creams, glazes and other components required for pastry production Creating and baking a wide selection of cakes, patisseries and sweet treats from scratch and to the specifications of our clients' orders Must have optimal piping skills to a commercial bakery standard.
Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in team, while consistently adhering to leadership directives.




" Operating and maintaining baking equipment safely and effectively Responsible for mixing, kneading, baking artisanal breads, monitoring temperatures and bake timings.
Decorating and finishing pastries to meet our high aesthetic standards Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards in all areas of the pastry kitchen Assisting with inventory management and ordering of pastry ingredients as required Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues as needed Staying informed about new pastry trends and techniques to continuously improve our offerings What we're looking for Proven experience working as a Pastry Cook or in a similar baking role, ideally within a busy bakery environment Sound knowledge of pastry production techniques, including laminated doughs, custards, creams and decorative finishes Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing consistently high-quality products Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously A passion for pastry making and a desire to develop your skills further Australian Pastry qualification certificate or Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it Flexibility to work early morning shifts, as typical in bakery environments Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive attitude Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items safely Eligible candidate will be offered fulltime role.
