Ltd. 27 Bridge Street, Korumburra VIC **** Salary $78,000-$85,000 Permanent, Full-time DIVAS-TANDOORI INDIAN RESTAURANT is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook for a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a range of Indian curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis, breads, sauces and other menu items according to established recipes.
Complete daily food preparation, including cutting, marinating, portioning and preparing curry bases, gravies and sauces.
Check the quality, freshness and suitability of ingredients before use.
Monitor cooking times, temperatures and portion sizes to ensure consistent food quality.
Check the taste, texture and presentation of dishes before they are served.
Coordinate meal preparation during busy lunch, dinner and function services.
Store ingredients and prepared food correctly and assist with stock rotation and inventory control.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety, hygiene,



temperature-control and allergen procedures.
Work under the direction of the Head Chef and cooperate with other kitchen staff.
Assist junior kitchen staff with food preparation methods, recipes and kitchen procedures when required.
Requirements Relevant AQF Certificate III or higher qualification; or at least three years of relevant experience in place of a formal qualification.
At least one year of relevant commercial cooking experience.
Experience preparing Indian cuisine, including curries, tandoori dishes and biryanis.
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling requirements.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen.
Valuable teamwork, time-management and communication skills.
