Karan and Co Executive Search has been engaged on a confidential search by a major infrastructure contractor seeking a Project Director to lead bid development across a growing infrastructure program connected to Australia’s Defence sector.

This role represents an opportunity for a senior infrastructure leader to play a critical role in securing and shaping major infrastructure projects within Western Australia. The position will focus on leading project pursuits, developing delivery strategies and supporting the transition of successful bids into project delivery.

The role will be based in Perth and will involve working closely with senior leadership, client stakeholders and delivery teams across a pipeline of major infrastructure opportunities.

This appointment forms part of a broader strategy to expand infrastructure capability across Western Australia and strengthen the organisation’s presence within the Defence infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead bid development for major infrastructure projects within the Defence sector
- Develop project strategies, delivery methodologies and commercial frameworks
- Work closely with estimating, planning and engineering teams during bid preparation




- Support client engagement and stakeholder management during procurement phases Contribute to tender submissions and bid governance processes
- Support the transition of successful bids into project delivery
- Work closely with senior leadership to identify and pursue strategic infrastructure opportunities

We are interested in speaking with senior infrastructure leaders who bring robust experience in major project bid development.

Candidates will typically come from major infrastructure contractors or project delivery organisations and may currently be working as a Project Director, Bid Director or Senior Project Manager involved in major project pursuits.

Experience across aviation infrastructure, transport infrastructure, major civil works or Defence related projects will be highly regarded.

Strong commercial capability, strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills will be essential.
