Lightning Ridge Health Service is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department on a contract basis from 17 August to 5 October 2026. This is a seven-week opportunity at the Lightning Ridge Multipurpose Service in NSW, offering $45.00 to $60.00 per hour. The successful candidate will take on ED triage responsibilities and be capable of working in charge of the shift, bringing strong clinical skills to a busy emergency environment.

- Seven-week contract in Emergency Department triage at Lightning Ridge MPS

- Support a diverse community in a regional healthcare setting with hands-on emergency nursing

Preferred Requirements





- Demonstrated experience in emergency department triage assessment and patient prioritisation
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Ability to work autonomously and take charge of the shift when required
- Solid clinical decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in emergency nursing
- Additional certifications in trauma or critical care nursing are advantageous
