Marine Mammal Observer (MMO) - Offshore Australia
6-Month Contract | Commencing November 2026
We are seeking experienced Marine Mammal Observers (MMOs) for a 6-month offshore project in Australian waters, commencing November 2026.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting marine mammal observations from offshore vessels/platforms
- Identifying and recording marine mammal sightings and environmental conditions
- Monitoring exclusion zones and implementing mitigation measures
- Maintaining accurate field records and daily reports
- Communicating sightings and environmental requirements to the offshore team
