About us:
The Pharmacy Service at Cairns Hospital (CH) provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the hospital. Current services provided include: outpatient pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas of Cairns Hospital, clinical trials, and educational services. The Pharmacy at Cairns Hospital also provides operational management to the pharmacy teams at Innisfail, Atherton, Mareeba and Mossman.
The purpose of the CoMRADE-CTG pharmacy service is the prevention of readmission, promotion of hospital avoidance and improvement in the quality use of medicines for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

About your role:
In this position you will…..
- Provide a defined range of pharmacy services for patients with complex conditions under the delegation and guidance of a pharmacist.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team, in a non-clinical capacity, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist conforming to current legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Refer to and liaise with health care providers within the immediate team as well as community health providers such as community pharmacists, general practitioners and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations under the delegation of a pharmacist.
