About the Opportunity

Cairnmillar Institute is seeking an exceptional senior leader to join our faculty as Associate Professor of Psychology – Work Integrated Learning. This is a rare opportunity to hold strategic, portfolio-level accountability for work integrated learning across our psychology and counselling programs — and to leave a lasting mark on professional training in Australia.

What You'll Do

· Lead strategically — set direction for work integrated learning across psychology and counselling programs

· Build partnerships — establish and negotiate relationships with clinical, community, and organisational placement providers

· Lift supervision quality — design and lead a robust supervisor development pathway

· Ensure accreditation compliance — across APAC, PACFA, and ACA standards

· Contribute to scholarship — with a dedicated research allocation (negotiable, ~0.2 FTE)

What You'll Bring

· Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology, or an Area of Endorsement with extensive post-qualification experience

· Board Approved Supervisor status (Psychology Board of Australia)

· Demonstrated senior leadership experience across academic, clinical, or professional settings

· A strong research and scholarship track record in clinical psychology, qualified education, or supervision

· Proven ability to establish and manage external partnerships and stakeholder relationships

Benefits of working at Cairnmillar

· A values-driven institution with a proud history in psychology and counselling education

· A collaborative, senior leadership environment with real strategic influence

· A platform to position work integrated learning as a distinctive national strength

· Research support and professional development opportunities
