Ryan’s Fresh Market is a well-established fresh produce retailer in Shepparton, known for quality, value, and robust operational standards. We’re looking for a Forklift driver/Warehouse assistant to take ownership of one of the most important areas of our business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, responsibility, and leading by example, and who is comfortable with hands-on produce preparation.

Hours & Shifts

- 4–5 shifts per week

- 24–32 hours per week (with potential to increase over time)

- Predominantly early morning shifts (from 5am)

- Weekday and weekend work required

About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of cool rooms and fresh produce stock, while also being hands-on with produce preparation and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

- Taking ownership of cool room organisation and standards

- Managing stock rotation (FIFO) to minimise waste and maximise freshness

- Receiving, checking, and organising incoming produce

- Coordinating stock flow from cool room to shop floor

- Assisting with forklift and pallet movement of produce

- Supporting produce display standards and availability





- Cutting and preparing vegetables using a large knife

- Packaging prepared vegetables ready for retail sale

- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and quality control

- Working closely with supervisors and senior team members

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in fresh produce, food retail, or stock management (highly regarded)

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

- Confidence working independently and taking responsibility

- Comfortable with early starts (5am) and physical work

- Confident and safe using a large knife for produce preparation

- Forklift licence is a must

- Calm, reliable, and team-focused attitude
