This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager with a strong construction and delivery background to join our multidisciplinary practice and play a pivotal role in supporting project success across Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Contract Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial, contractual, and risk management aspects of projects from procurement through to completion.

Working closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and clients, you will ensure contractual obligations are effectively managed, risks are mitigated, and projects are delivered in accordance with agreed commercial outcomes.

This role would suit someone with experience working for a builder, head contractor,



construction consultancy, or project management organisation who is looking to bring their expertise into a multidisciplinary design environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the administration and delivery of project contracts from procurement through to completion.
- Review, negotiate, and advise on contract terms, variations, extensions of time, and commercial claims.
- Identify and manage contractual, commercial, and project delivery risks.
- Support project leaders with procurement strategies and contract administration processes.
- Monitor project performance against contractual obligations and key milestones.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve contractual issues.
- Prepare commercial reports, recommendations, and project risk assessments.
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of contract management processes and systems.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to project teams on contractual and commercial matters.

ABOUT YOU

- Degree qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in contract management, project delivery, commercial management, or a similar role.
- Previous experience working for a builder, head contractor, construction consultancy, or project management firm.
- Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and procurement methodologies.




- Experience administering contracts such as AS4000, AS4902, AS2124, GC21, NEC, or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to manage commercial risk and resolve complex contractual issues.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Strong commercial acumen and sound decision-making skills.
- Proactive, cooperative, and solutions-focused approach.
