Data Governance Coordinator
Clerk Grade: 7/8 starting annual salary $116,981 plus superannuation and leave loading
Employment Type: Full-time ongoing (35 Hours per week)

The Long Service Corporation is a standalone agency within the Department of Customer Services that reports directly to the Managing Director of Service NSW whilst maintaining its executive agency status.

About the team
The Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages portable long service schemes for the building and construction industry(BCI) and contract cleaning industry(CCI), and the newly launched community services industry (CSI) scheme.

You'll be joining the Data and Insights team within the Digital and Program Delivery division at LSC. This team is the central hub for all data and reporting across the organisation, supporting informed decision-making and organisational performance. We manage the end-to-end data lifecycle and lead the uplift of data governance practices to ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant with legislative and organisational requirements.

Your day-to-day:
As a Data Governance Coordinator, you will:

- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of data governance frameworks, standards, and policies across the organisation.
- Maintain key governance artefacts including the data asset register, data catalogue, metadata, and policy and process libraries.
- Assist in embedding master data and metadata management practices aligned with industry standards.
- Contribute to governance forums, including preparation of high-quality committee papers, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Identify and document business processes, data flows, and requirements to support governance uplift and system improvements.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote data governance practices and support consistent adoption across business areas.
- Support data quality initiatives,



including monitoring, assessment, and remediation activities.
- Provide guidance on data governance requirements, including compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, improving processes, and staying informed of emerging trends in data governance.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Experience in data governance, data management, information management, or a related field (or strong transferable experience).
- Understanding of key data governance concepts such as data quality, metadata, and master data management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience documenting processes, requirements, or business rules.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with stakeholders to influence outcomes and uplift capability.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Awareness of relevant legislative, regulatory, and ethical obligations relating to data (desirable).
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience (desirable).
