Pilko's Transport , a growing family-owned business based in Hastings, Victoria , is seeking dedicated Heavy Combination (HC) and Multi-Combination (MC) truck drivers to join our expanding fleet.
We operate across the entire east coast of Australia , transporting general freight from our Hastings base. While previous interstate experience is preferred, it is not essential - we are happy to train the right candidates who have the right attitude and work ethic.
This is a full-time position , with ongoing employment available following a successful trial period.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HC/MC vehicles on interstate routes
- Transport general freight efficiently and safely along the east coast
- Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are maintained in a safe and roadworthy condition
- Complete all required paperwork, documentation and delivery records
- Secure and handle freight safely and appropriately
- Comply with all road transport, fatigue management and company requirements
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers and other road users
- Communicate effectively with our transport team regarding deliveries, delays and any issues that arise
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle
About You
We are looking for drivers who are:
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
- Hold a current HC or MC licence
- Have a good driving history
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing the requirements of the role
- Professional and respectful when dealing with customers
- Willing to travel interstate and spend time away from home when required
- Experienced in interstate transport preferred, but not essential
