Fire Services | Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunity
Are you organised, a great writer and someone who loves getting things done?
We’re looking for a Tender Coordinator / Tender Writer to take ownership of our tender process and, importantly, build and maintain a comprehensive library of tender content, templates and supporting documentation that we can leverage to make future submissions faster, easier and more consistent.
This is a hands on role for someone who can take a tender, understand what is required, pull the right information together, coordinate the people involved and make sure we submit a professional, compelling response — on time, every time.
What we really need is someone who is organised, commercially minded, a strong writer and confident coordinating people.
What you’ll be doing
- Reviewing tender opportunities and understanding submission requirements
- Preparing and writing clear, professional tender responses
- Coordinating information and documents from operations, technical, finance and management teams
- Keeping everyone on track with deadlines and deliverables
- Creating tender checklists, timelines and submission plans
- Gathering supporting documentation such as licences, certifications, insurances, policies and company information
- Working with subject matter experts to turn technical information into clear customer focused responses
- Reviewing submissions to make sure they are accurate, complete and professionally presented
- Managing the tender calendar and pipeline
- Identifying gaps in information and chasing people to get what you need
- Coordinating the final submission and making sure nothing gets missed
- Maintaining templates, standard responses and a central library of tender information
What we’re looking for
- Has experience writing tenders,
proposals, bids or similar business documents
- Is an excellent writer with strong attention to detail
- Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Can confidently coordinate people across different areas of the business
- Isn't afraid to chase people when you need something!
- Can take a lot of information and turn it into a clear, professional response
- Has good commercial awareness and understands what customers are looking for
- Is proactive you see what needs to be done and get on with it
- Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Has strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
Fire industry experience?
Great, but not essential.
Experience in fire protection, fire services, facilities management, building services, construction or another technical services environment would be highly regarded.
What matters most is that you know how to write a good response, organise people and get a tender submitted properly.
What you’ll get
This is an chance to play an important role in helping us win more work and improve how we approach tenders.
Our tendors are generally straightforward so this isn't a role managing massive government bids or 500-page submissions.
It’s about doing the fundamentals really well:
Understand the opportunity → Get the right people involved → Write a great response → Get everything together → Submit on time → Win the work.
You’ll have the opportunity to make the role your own and build a more consistent, professional tender process for the business.
If this sounds like you...
If you're the person who naturally creates the checklist, knows what's due when, follows people up and makes sure the job gets done — we'd love to hear from you.
