The Customer Sales Support Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of customer support within Murray Cod Australia, while also maintaining regular face-to-face engagement with key customers in the Griffith region.

This role combines customer service coordination, sales support, and field-based customer relationship management, ensuring customers receive exceptional service both operationally and through regular in-person interaction.

The position will act as the critical link between customers, sales, processing, and logistics teams. The successful candidate will spend part of the working week visiting a portfolio of customers to strengthen relationships, understand customer needs, identify opportunities, gather market feedback, and ensure service expectations are being met.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship Management & Field Visits

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers through a weekly /fortnightly call cycle program.
- Act as a trusted representative of the business, understanding customer operations, challenges, and opportunities.
- Gather customer feedback regarding product quality, service levels, pricing, availability, and market trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, increase sales, and strengthen partnerships.
- Communicate customer insights and opportunities back to the sales and operational teams.

Customer Support & Order Coordination

Act as the key point of contact for customers regarding:

- Product availability
- Delivery requirements
- Quality concerns
- Process and manage daily customer orders for fresh and frozen seafood products.
- Fresh/frozen requirements
- Size and grade specifications
- Delivery expectations
- Provide proactive communication regarding supply changes, delays, or operational impacts.
- Support the sales team with customer requirements, pricing discussions, product availability, and commercial opportunities.




- Identify additional sales opportunities through customer engagement and product discussions.
- Assist customers with product selection and availability.
- Monitor customer demand patterns and communicate opportunities or risks internally.
- Work closely with Processing Team and logistics when needed.
- Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated throughout the business.
- Coordinate solutions when customer requirements, or delivery challenges arise.

Customer Support – National Retailers

- Support national retail customers with product submissions, recent line forms, product information requests, and retailer documentation requirements.
- Coordinate retail product setup requirements, including specifications, packaging information, barcodes, pricing details, images, and supply availability information.
- Develop and maintain a working understanding of national retailer logistics systems, ordering platforms, delivery requirements, and compliance processes.
- Assist with retailer order coordination, promotional activity support, allocation management, and communication of supply or delivery changes.
- Liaise with sales, processing, quality, logistics, and finance teams to ensure national retailer requirements are captured accurately and delivered on time.
- Maintain accurate records of retailer requirements, submission timelines, product information, and actions required to support retail account growth.

Quality & Food Safety Support

- Ensure customer concerns relating to product quality are recorded and directed to the relevant departments for follow up and closure.




- Assist with maintaining customer confidence through accurate communication and follow-up.
- Support documentation requirements including product specifications.

Administration & Reporting

Maintain accurate customer records, pricing information, product requirements, and visit notes.

Record customer interactions, opportunities, issues, and actions arising from customer visits.

Provide regular updates and reports to the CCO and relevant State Sales Managers.

Assist with customer sales forecasting and planning activities.

The role will include regular customer visits throughout the week, including:

- Visiting assigned customers across end user food service customer and distribution channels.
- Building stronger customer relationships through regular engagement.
- Identifying opportunities for improved service, product growth, and partnership development.
- Providing feedback from the marketplace to support business decisions.

Skills & Experience Required

- Experience in customer service, sales support, account management, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience within seafood, food manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, or temperature-controlled supply chains.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to confidently engage with customers face-to-face.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage both office-based coordination and field visits.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities.
- Experience managing foodservice distributors and end user food service customers.
