Reporting to the Shop Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the repair centre, assisting with estimating, customer service, production coordination and team support.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry estimating software.
- Liaise with customers, insurers and suppliers throughout the repair process.
- Assist in managing daily workshop operations and vehicle workflow.
- Support production scheduling to ensure vehicles progress efficiently.
- Monitor repair quality, timelines and customer expectations.
- Assist with parts coordination and communicate any repair variations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to workshop and office staff.
- Help achieve key performance targets including productivity,
cycle time and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer enquiries professionally and promptly.
- Ensure company policies, safety procedures and quality standards are consistently followed.
- Step into the Shop Manager role during periods of leave or absence.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Estimator within the collision repair industry.
- Leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of repair methods and estimating systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Current driver's licence.
- A positive attitude with a genuine desire to support and develop a successful team.
