Elite Attachments is an established Australian engineering company based in Bayswater, specialising in the manufacture of hydraulic quick hitches for the construction, mining, earthmoving, and agriculture industries.
Due to strong growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson / Dispatch Operator to join our team. This is a key role within our operations, supporting production and ensuring our products are delivered accurately and on time.
With plans to double production over the next 12 months, this role offers strong job security and the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a hands‑on, fast‑paced position where attention to detail and efficiency are critical.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Following instructions and priorities set by the Workshop Manager
- Picking, packing, strapping, and wrapping pallets (steel and plastic strapping)
- Reading and organising dispatch orders accurately
- Matching part numbers with documentation and work orders
- Loading and unloading freight using a forklift
- Unpacking stillages and stocking shelves using safe manual handling techniques
- Replenishing stock to support the engineering assembly team
- Conducting QA checks prior to dispatch to ensure accuracy
- Coordinating local pickups and deliveries to suppliers and partner sites
- Organising and maintaining pallet racking
- Unloading heavy components from a spray paint gantry line, with a forklift, using correct lifting and rigging techniques
- Managing workflow to meet daily production targets, including urgent jobs
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2 -5 years’ experience in a store/dispatch role within an engineering or manufacturing company
- A current WorkSafe forklift licence (essential)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to track part numbers and orders accurately
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to accurately capture photos using an iPad and promptly email them to office staff
- The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines
- Sound time management and organisational skills
- A team-oriented attitude with a adaptable and easy-going approach
- Physical capability to handle and shift heavy components safely
