An Australian Government agency is seeking an experienced EL1 Procurement Advisor to join its corporate services team on a 6-month non-ongoing engagement.
This role will see you providing specialist procurement advice across the full procurement lifecycle, supporting business areas to deliver compliant and effective procurement outcomes in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the PGPA Act. The position also contributes to procurement process improvements and broader agency initiatives.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on procurement strategies, plans and documentation
- Managing approaches to market and procurement processes
- Supporting evaluation activities and contract establishment
- Providing quality assurance on procurement documentation
- Maintaining compliance with Commonwealth procurement frameworks
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Contributing to procurement reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering procurement activities within a Commonwealth Government environment
- Solid knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
- Experience providing procurement advice to stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A current Baseline Security Clearance (required)
Desirable
- Procurement qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting)
- Experience working in a centralised procurement or advisory function
