About the Role

Queensland Drilling & Blasting Services (QDBS) is seeking an experienced Top Hammer Blast Hole Drill Operator to join our growing team.

We are currently recruiting for one position across the following locations and rosters:

- Townsville & Cairns
- Monday- Friday

Equipment

You will be operating contemporary, well-maintained Epiroc equipment, including:

- T40 SmartRoc (experience highly regarded)
- T35 PowerRoc
- T45 PowerRoc

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven experience in quarrying or mining operations
- Experience operating Top Hammer drill rigs (T40 SmartRoc / T35 / T45 PowerRoc)
- Strong time management and ability to work unsupervised
- Good understanding of maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting (e.g. changing hoses)




- Clear communication skills and ability to complete paperwork
- A proactive, reliable attitude with a strong can-do mindset

Requirements

- White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Coal Board Medical (can be arranged)
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing

Certificate III in Drilling Operations is highly regarded but not essential.
