Remuneration: CPW4 ($86,474 - $90,541) plus 12% superannuation

Role Details:

As a Case Worker working in the largest town on the York Peninsula, Kadina offers a vital commercial hub in striking distance from the pristine coastal town of Wallaroo. This regional opportunity involves undertaking professional case management to uphold high-level care standards for children and young people. You will provide culturally appropriate services, specifically for Aboriginal people, and develop team projects and activities that foster growth and independence. These endeavours will maintain the healthy identities of children in care and strengthen DCP’s support networks.

In this role, you will:

- Investigate child protection issues and oversee the case management of children and their families
- Link clientele with impactful services that are culturally and linguistically inclusive
- Provide exemplary assistance to children in care to bolster their emotional wellbeing.
- Conduct research that improves access methods and activities for children and young people
- Administer safe and healthy working practices that identify risk factors.

- You can manage conflict by enacting appropriate resolution strategies
- You demonstrate a wealth of knowledge surrounding professional case work practice




- You effectively maintain robust working relationships with an array of key stakeholders
- You correctly apply knowledge of relevant child protection policies within your work
- You possess high-quality written and verbal communication skills.

The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children,



young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.

Special Conditions:

- You must have a current Working With Children Check
- You must have a current Australian driver’s licence (P2 or above) and a willingness to drive is essential.
