About the Role

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in achieving production targets by collaborating with the Electrical, Maintenance, and Planning Superintendents. Your role involves developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability of fixed and mobile assets, while providing engineering expertise across maintenance activities. This position is predominantly Adelaide based with travel as reasonably required to the mine site.

Role Responsibilities

- Reporting to the Mine Operations Manager, develop and implement maintenance strategies for plant and equipment assets.

- Partner with stakeholders within the Asset Reliability & Maintenance Department to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in reliability practices and asset performance.

- Investigate downtime events, conduct root cause analyses, and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence of equipment failures.

- Contribute to risk assessments for new and existing assets, ensuring secure and compliant operations.





- Provide technical input into capital investment proposals aimed at improving equipment reliability and performance, including assisting with cost estimates and budget preparation.

- Monitor and improve asset data integrity and accuracy.

- Analyse equipment performance, identify failure trends, and develop predictive maintenance solutions.

- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to implement engineering solutions that improve site performance and operational efficiency.

- Coordinate plant and equipment improvement trials, providing technical guidance, monitoring progress, and reporting outcomes in accordance with Management of Change requirements.

- Lead reliability improvement initiatives and projects to enhance equipment availability and performance.

About You

- Proven experience in asset reliability engineering within mining/mineral processing, or heavy industry operations.

- Strong technical knowledge of site infrastructure and asset management systems.

- Strong knowledge of FMECA, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong understanding of LEAN processes and Continuous Improvement.





- Experience in asset data management system (ideally TechOne).

- Advanced computer and database skills, with strong data analysis skills.

- Strong commitment to safe working practices.

- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or related discipline.
