We are seeking an experienced and forward thinking Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation (RTO Code 0647) through its next phase of growth and impact. This role offers the opportunity to shape workforce capability in the construction industry, strengthen industry partnerships, and drive excellence in vocational education and training.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic leadership aligned with the organisation’s mission, vision, and Board objectives
- Ensure the CITC maintains and upholds the requirements of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)
- Ensure full compliance with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the RTO standards
- Ensure the CITC maintains its legal entity as an Incorporated Association
- Ensure any funding agreements are met and maintained in particular with the South Australian Government
- Strengthen and expand partnerships, in particular across the construction industry, mining and government
- Drive sustainable growth, including current programs, funding opportunities, and commercial initiatives both locally and at our regional centres
- Oversee financial management, governance, risk, and operational performance
- Lead organisational transformation,



including innovation in training
- Build a high performing, values driven organisational culture
- Experience in negotiating collective employee workplace agreements

Qualifications

- Demonstrated CEO or senior executive experience
- High level knowledge of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), the VET sector and RTO compliance frameworks
- Proven financial and commercial management capability
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and workforce needs
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with industry and government
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management experience
- Experience in a not-for-profit organization
- Management of government funded training programs including maintaining the Funded Activities Agreement (FAA)
- An understanding of how the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) fund training in the South Australia construction industry
- Ability to identify, prepare, submit and manage State and Commonwealth Government grants
- Familiarity with apprenticeship and traineeship systems
