About the work unit / facility
The Townsville University Hospital Physiotherapy Department is part of the Allied Health Services Division and provides physiotherapy services across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Physiotherapists work across a diverse range of clinical areas, including intensive care, acute medical and surgical services, musculoskeletal care, rehabilitation, oncology, women's and children's health, rural facilities, and community health. The department provides a 24-hour service through on-call and weekend rosters and offers strong clinical support, supervision, and development opportunities.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Base salary range: $80,016 to $116,189 p.a. (HP3)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
Join the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) as a Physiotherapist and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a diverse clinical environment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based physiotherapy services to inpatient and outpatient populations, supporting patients to achieve their rehabilitation and health goals.
Based primarily at Townsville University Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work across a range of clinical settings and contribute to service delivery throughout the THHS. This role offers exposure to a varied caseload and the chance to develop your clinical skills in a dynamic and supportive healthcare workplace.
As part of our commitment to providing responsive care, this position contributes to a seven-day, extended-hours Emergency Department service and participates in the physiotherapy on-call roster, helping ensure patients receive timely and effective care when they need it most.
Requirements
A recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
