Scaffolding Labourer / Trainee Scaffolder – Sydney
$36/hr Casual + Super | 32–44 Hours/Week | Company Work Ute | No Experience Required
Spider Scaffolding is looking for a reliable and motivated labourer to join our small scaffolding team working across residential projects throughout Sydney.
No scaffolding experience is required. The starting casual rate is $36 per hour + super for someone with no experience.
Applicants with scaffolding or relevant construction experience are also encouraged to apply, with a higher starting rate available depending on experience and qualifications.
The position will initially be casual, with approximately 32–44 hours of work available per week, depending on workload, weather and project requirements.
For the right person, there is an opportunity to move into permanent full-time employment once you have demonstrated that you’re a good fit for the role.
We are looking for someone who wants to stay with us long term. We aim to provide valuable pay, good working conditions and regular pay increases as your skills and responsibilities grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying, loading and stacking scaffolding equipment
- Assisting with the installation and dismantling of scaffolding
- Loading and unloading the company ute
- Transporting scaffolding equipment between job sites
- Working on residential projects throughout Sydney
- Learning how to build scaffolding safely and efficiently
- Learning directly from an experienced scaffolder
- Taking on more responsibility as your skills and experience develop
This is a physical, hands-on outdoor job involving regular lifting and manual handling.
Company Work Ute
A company work ute will be provided for travelling to and from job sites and between jobs.
The ute will regularly carry scaffolding equipment, and loading, securing and unloading this equipment will form part of your normal duties.
A current driver’s licence is required.
Hours & Pay
- $36 per hour casual starting rate + super – no experience required
- Higher starting rate available depending on experience and qualifications
- Approximately 32–44 hours per week during the initial casual/training period
- 7:00am start on site
- We aim to keep individual working days as close to 8 hours as possible
- Overtime available when required
- Weekly pay
- Regular pay increases as your skills and responsibilities increase

No scaffolding experience is required – training will be provided.
Previous scaffolding,
construction or labouring experience is an advantage and may qualify you for a higher starting rate.
