Venue All-Rounder · Permanent Part-Time

The Bungalow Petersham is a cozy, hidden gem on Stanmore Road known for its excellent service and quality morning and evening menus. With just 40 seats, we're an intimate venue where everyone pitches in — so we're looking for a genuine all-rounder who can turn their hand to just about anything, take ownership of a shift, and keep everything running smoothly whether they're behind the bar, working the floor, or holding the keys.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, do-a-bit-of-everything role for someone ready to step up and lead the shift without being micromanaged. Successful applicants will:

- Provide an extroverted, professional and elevated level of service, with at least one year of experience. Building genuine relationships with everyone who walks through our door is a crucial part of our magic.
- Make and shake cocktails with a solid understanding of the classics and their recipes, plus the fundamentals of wine. Minimum one year of bar experience required (RSA essential).
- Take ownership of the floor and bar during service — setting the pace, keeping standards high,



and being the go-to person when questions or hiccups come up.
- Confidently open and close the venue, including cash handling, and be trusted as a keyholder.
- Support, guide and help train newer team members, leading by example.
- Perform regular stock counts and manage stock ordering (full training provided).
- Roll up your sleeves wherever you're needed — in a small team, no job is too big or too small.
- Bonus points for basic coffee-making skills to help with our morning menu. Not essential, but a big plus.
- Have the required availability listed below (non-negotiable).
- Have valid working rights in Australia (full rights preferred but not mandatory).
- Live reasonably close by for safety and smooth operation (negotiable).

Required Availability

- Wednesday: 5pm – Close
- Thursday: 5pm – Close
- Friday: 5pm – Close
- Saturday: 9:30am – 2:30pm & 5pm – Close

Pay

- $28 per hour, Monday to Friday.
- $33 per hour on Saturdays.
