We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced tax accountant for our accounting practice to complement our expanding business, Success Tax Professionals Joondalup. A portion of our clientele are dual citizens and have tax affairs overseas, particularly in South Africa, so are searching for an applicant that is a registered tax practitioner in South Africa. Our offices are staffed by bilingual employees to better explain complex tax and financial matters to our clients in their mother tongue, therefore we prefer an applicant who can competently communicate in at least one language other than English. The position will incorporate elements of virtual CFO duties and require an applicant who can use their understanding of taxation and experience in interpreting financial statements to assist clients with strategic and timely decision-making and tax planning.

Required:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the tax and accounting profession
- A strong work ethic, detail-oriented, motivated and versatile
- Leadership and managerial skills to work within a practice and mentor junior staff members as well as collaborate with our professional partner associates
- Experience liaising with the ATO or relevant tax authorities
- Proficient at using various accounting software platforms, particularly Xero, and excellent computer skills




- Able to prepare financial statements for presentation to directors and shareholders.
- Experienced at reporting to various levels of stakeholders and explaining complex tax and financial matters in both face-to-face and written format
- Strong communication skills and comfortable visiting clients onsite as required
- Professional body membership
- Minimum qualification: Advanced Diploma of Accounting or equivalent or Bachelor of Commerce.
- Able to assist with preparing budgets
- Able to conduct financial investigations, prepare relevant reports and examine operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure.
- Provide financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
- Experience preparing tax returns for individuals and organisations.
- Liaising with brokers and financial institutions to assist clients in their financing requirements and providing the necessary financials and documentation required.
