The Centre offers a beautiful and welcoming environment where children thrive in spacious indoor and outdoor play areas, with an embedded arts curriculum and a range of stimulating learning opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will deliver high quality and inclusive learning programs using contemporary teaching theories, strategies and styles, knowledge of child development, and fidelity to the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

You will utilise the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers to guide their professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

Working with the Service Leadership Team, you will lead and support pedagogical practice within their room and engage in service planning to ensure high quality teaching that will positively impact upon the outcomes for children, their families and colleague educators.

You will engage in inquiry to develop a deeper understanding of the principles of inclusion, reconciliation, contemporary research, curriculum, and pedagogy to embed a culture of ongoing reflective practice.

You will commit to always maintaining professional work standards and will model legal and ethical behaviour in accordance with the ECA Code of Ethics, National Quality Standard and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You are lively and passionate about children's learning and development. You will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Teaching or equivalent as approved by ACECQA (essential)
- Current First Aid Qualification in accordance with ACECQA guidelines
- Teacher Registration as governed by Western Australia.
- Demonstrated experience supporting the development and learning of children 0-6 years old
- Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and self-learning to achieve the best outcomes for children
- High level of verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance obtained within the last six months
- Current WA Working with Children's Check

As part of our commitment to being a Child Protected organisation, successful candidates are required to provide their Immunisation History Statement.

While immunisations are highly encouraged, they are not mandatory. This information will help us assess and implement appropriate safety measures for everyone.
