Senior operational leadership | Disability and community-based aged care
This is a significant chance to lead the largest state portfolio within an established national community services organisation. NSW represents approximately 70% of its operations, giving this position genuine influence over organisational performance, client outcomes and future growth.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the performance, quality and governance of in-home care services across NSW. Your portfolio will span both disability and community-based aged care, with accountability for service delivery, workforce performance, financial outcomes, client experience, safeguarding and compliance.
This is a senior, hands-on operational role within a fast-paced and evolving organisation. It requires someone who can manage complexity, respond quickly when priorities shift, and bring structure, accountability and consistency across geographically dispersed services.
The role
You will provide leadership across the NSW portfolio, ensuring clients receive safe, reliable and person-centred support aligned with their individual plans, funding and care needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the operational performance of in-home disability and aged care services across NSW
- Translating organisational strategy into clear priorities and consistent service delivery
- Leading and developing Team Leaders and frontline operational teams
- Managing workforce capacity, deployment, utilisation and geographic coverage
- Monitoring revenue, gross profit, cost-to-serve, expenditure and service margins
- Improving scheduling, travel efficiency and the relationship between billed and paid hours
- Overseeing client onboarding, service transitions and changes in support
- Maintaining oversight of incidents, complaints, safeguarding matters and operational risks
- Ensuring services meet NDIS, Aged Care and organisational standards
- Maintaining workforce compliance, credentialling, mandatory training and audit readiness
- Using data and reporting to identify risks, performance gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Strengthening systems, processes and operating practices across the portfolio
About you
You will be an accomplished operational leader who is comfortable overseeing a substantial and complex portfolio while remaining connected to the realities of frontline service delivery.
Importantly, you must have experience across both disability and community-based aged care. You will understand the different regulatory, funding and workforce environments of each sector and know how to create alignment without treating them as interchangeable.
You will also bring:
- Significant senior operational leadership experience within community services
- Experience managing multi-site or geographically dispersed service teams
- Strong commercial and financial capability, including budgets, margins, utilisation and workforce efficiency
- A solid understanding of quality, safeguarding, complaints, incidents and regulatory compliance
- The ability to make sound decisions and reset priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience building accountability and capability across operational leadership teams
- A practical, visible and collaborative leadership style
- Confidence working with executives while remaining approachable to frontline teams
- Tertiary qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or a related discipline
Why consider this role?
NSW is central to the organisation's success, giving this position genuine influence and visibility.
You will have the opportunity to shape how in-home care is delivered at scale, strengthening the systems, leadership and operational discipline behind safe and trusted services.
This role will suit a senior operator who enjoys pace, complexity and accountability and who wants their leadership to have a direct impact on clients, employees and organisational performance.
