Talent Focus Education is partnering with a well-established early childhood service in regional Queensland to recruit an experienced and passionate Assistant Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Educator, Educational Leader or Assistant Director who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career.

Working closely with the Centre Director, you will play an important role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the service, supporting educators, children and families while helping drive high-quality educational practice and compliance.

The position also provides the opportunity to further develop your leadership, mentoring and business administration skills while contributing to the overall performance of the service.

The Package This role comes with an exceptional employment and lifestyle package:

- Annual salary of $100,000 – $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience + 12% superannuation
- Rent-free housing provided, valued at up to $18,200 per annum
- 5 weeks annual leave
- 17.5% annual leave loading
- 15 days personal/sick leave
- Monthly RDO – 13 per year
- Relocation assistance available, depending on your current location

Your responsibilities will include supporting the management of the centre in the Director's absence, assisting with rostering, family accounts, waitlists and administration, supporting enrolments and family tours, and helping maintain educator-to-child ratios when required.

You will also:

- Coach, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality educational programs
- Help build educator capability and consistency across the service
- Support compliance with the National Quality Framework,



National Quality Standard and relevant legislation
- Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan
- Support positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community
- Assist with operational systems, administration and continuous improvement
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team
- Promote a positive, collaborative and professional workplace culture

A key part of the position is educational leadership, including observing educator practice, providing constructive feedback, mentoring team members and modelling best practice.

About You

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys early childhood education and is ready to take on greater leadership responsibility.

You will ideally have:

- Diploma-level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
- Substantial experience as a Senior Educator, Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Director or similar
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework
- Excellent leadership, mentoring and communication skills
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
- Confidence supporting and developing educators
- A positive, proactive and collaborative approach
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team will be highly regarded.
