We are looking for experienced Sous Chefs to join the kitchen teams at some of our busy, upmarket Sydney pubs.

These are hands-on roles for strong Sous Chefs who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, take pride in consistently delivering quality food and can confidently lead the brigade in the Head Chef’s absence.

About the role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will:

- Lead the kitchen and brigade during service and in the Head Chef’s absence

- Deliver consistently high standards across busy à la carte and function service

- Manage preparation, service and kitchen workflow according to business demand

- Assist with menu development, recipe costing, ordering and supplier management

- Assist with stocktakes, food cost control and minimising waste

- Train, mentor and supervise kitchen staff

- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and WHS standards

- Work closely with the Head Chef and venue management team

About you

You will have:

- A minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef, in quality pub environments

- Commercial cookery qualifications

- Strong à la carte and high-volume service experience





- The ability to confidently manage a kitchen brigade

- Strong skills across both preparation and service

- An understanding of recipe costing, stock control and COGS

- Excellent organisation, communication and time-management skills

- Current food safety certification

- A professional, reliable and accountable approach

- Availability to work a rotating roster across days, nights and weekends

- Full Australian working rights
