THE ROLE

Paradise Resort Gold Coast is looking for an experienced and passionate Chef with strong Grill and Cold Larder skills to join our busy Kitchen team.

Working across our range of food and beverage outlets, including Penguins Restaurant, Poolside Cafe & Bar, Jerry's Burgers, Deb's Pizza and El Mexicano, this is a hands-on role suited to a Chef who is confident working the grill and cold larder sections in a busy, high-volume kitchen.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable managing their section, takes pride in quality and presentation, and can keep their cool when service gets busy!

As part of our Kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting all food-related guest requests with passion and consistency, while maintaining our high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Confidently working across grill and cold larder sections

- Preparing, cooking and serving food to a consistently high standard in a fast-paced kitchen

- Ensuring your section is prepared and ready for service

- Maintaining consistency in portioning, presentation and quality

- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work environment

- Complying with all Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures

- Maintaining appropriate stock control, storage and rotation

- Working collaboratively with our Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams during busy service periods

- Demonstrating excellent product knowledge and pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Strong experience and confidence working both Grill and Cold Larder





- Commercial Cookery Qualification – Certificate III or IV (essential)

- Experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment

- Strong knife skills, preparation skills and attention to detail

- A genuine passion for food, presentation and culinary excellence

- The ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a fun, hardworking team

- Good knowledge of food safety, stock rotation and kitchen hygiene requirements

- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
