Pulse Maintenance — A Division of Pulse Infrastructure | Newcastle NSW | Full time | $85k–$110k + super + fully maintained ute (based on qualifications and licence status)**
Build a business, not just a job list.
Pulse Infrastructure is an established Australian construction services business delivering projects in the digital infrastructure and data-centre sector. We're launching Pulse Maintenance in Newcastle — starting with property maintenance and handyman services, expanding into grounds, cleaning, pool servicing and licensed trades across the Hunter and Central Coast.
You'll be our first person on the ground. You'll do the work, quote the work, and help shape how we grow. As the division scales, this role transitions into business growth and operations management — hiring the team, building the subcontractor network, and running the branch. We're hiring for that trajectory from day one.
What you'll do
- Deliver quality general maintenance and repair work for residential and commercial clients
- Quote jobs promptly and accurately using our job management platform (photos, site visits, rate card)
- Own the client relationship end-to-end — turn one-off jobs into repeat customers
- Help build our local subcontractor panel for specialist and overflow work
- Work with our existing back office on scheduling, invoicing and reporting
- Step progressively into supervision, recruitment and branch management as we grow
What you'll bring
- Trade qualification (carpentry preferred) with broad general maintenance and handyman-style skills across repairs, fit-offs and property upkeep
- NSW contractor licence or qualified supervisor certificate (or eligibility to obtain one) — strongly preferred. You may act as nominated supervisor on our company licence
- Confidence quoting and pricing work, and talking to clients
- Comfortable with technology — job management apps, digital quoting, photos and reporting
- Current driver's licence; White Card; own tools an advantage (Ute provided)
- Ambition. This role is designed to outgrow the tools
What we offer
- Salary $85k–$110k + super, reviewed against your licence status and experience
- Fully maintained, branded vehicle and quality tool package
- A genuine, mapped pathway to branch/operations management with hiring authority
- The backing of an established group — proper insurance, HSEQ systems, back-office support and capital to grow
- The chance to build something from job #1
To apply: Apply with your resume and a short note on a business or team you've helped grow (or would like to). We'd rather hear that than a cover letter.
