If you have spent years working in carpentry and construction, your experience is valuable.

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter, Leading Hand, Supervisor or Builder who is ready to spend less time on the tools and start passing their knowledge on to the next generation.

This is a practical training role based at our Southport workshop.

Who we are looking for

You should have:

- Strong carpentry and construction experience

- Experience supervising, leading or mentoring others

- Good practical knowledge of the trade

- The ability to explain and demonstrate carpentry tasks

- A professional and reliable approach

- Experience as a Leading Hand, Foreman, Supervisor or Builder would be highly regarded.

Never been a trainer?

Many good trainers start as experienced tradespeople who are ready for a change.

If you have spent years showing apprentices or other workers how to do the job properly, you already have skills that can transfer into training.

If you don't currently hold the required Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, we can discuss the qualification pathway and support available.

The role

You will:

- Demonstrate practical carpentry skills

- Supervise students in our workshop

- Teach safe and correct work practices

- Assess practical work

- Mentor students

- Pass on your real-world industry knowledge
