Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team based in Chatswood on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the finance function while supporting the wider business with accurate reporting and commercial insights.
Your responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Leading month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
Assisting with statutory reporting, BAS, FBT and tax compliance
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Partnering with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
Assisting with external audits and year-end requirements
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies
Supporting ad hoc analysis and finance projects as required
About You
CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
Previous experience in a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant position
Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on month-end reporting experience
Experience preparing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance obligations are met
Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to large ERP systems highly regarded
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to build solid stakeholder relationships
