lineage and metadata controlsImplementing automated data quality checks, validation rules and testingApplying privacy-by-design and security principles, including RBAC, managed identities, masking and audit loggingEstablishing Git-based CI/CD workflows through Azure DevOpsMonitoring pipelines, resolving incidents and optimising performance, storage and compute costsMaintaining technical documentation, runbooks and data dictionariesContributing to reusable engineering standards, templates and delivery patternsYou will bring:At least five years of commercial data engineering experienceStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft FabricAdvanced SQL and PySpark capabilityExperience delivering production-grade data pipelines and curated datasetsPractical experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse or DatabricksHands-on Microsoft Purview experience, including scans, collections, classifications, glossary and lineageStrong knowledge of medallion architecture and dimensional modellingExperience serving data to Power BICI/CD experience using Azure DevOpsA strong understanding of data security, privacy and governanceExperience working with data stewards, custodians, analysts and technical stakeholdersStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skillsExposure to Bicep, Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling will be highly regarded.
