This role will play a key role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll across the organisation with both weekly and monthly payroll processing for multiple companies.About the RolePayroll Responsibilities:Process weekly payroll and monthly payrollMaintain employee payroll and leave recordsSupport payroll reconciliations and reporting activitiesRespond to employee payroll enquiries in a timely and professional mannerManage leave, overtime, allowances, deductions and payroll adjustmentsAssist with processing payroll changes, including new starters, terminations, and employee updatesEnsure compliance with Superannuation, PAYG, Single Touch Payroll (STP) and Payroll Tax obligationsEnsure payroll data is entered accurately and maintained confidentiallySupport month-end payroll activities and related administrationContribute to payroll process improvements and team initiativesWork closely with HR and Finance stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracyInterpret Awards,
Enterprise Agreements and employment conditionsRespond to payroll enquiries professionally and confidentiallyAbout youYou'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership of your work, thrives on accuracy and is passionate about delivering exceptional internal customer service.To be successful in this role, you will have:At least 3 years' payroll experience within a medium to large organisationStrong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll complianceExperience processing payroll for a high-volume workforceStrong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with payroll systemsExcellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracyOutstanding organisational and time management skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationshipsA proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindsetThe ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrityEmployment Hero experience preferable but not essentialGreentree knowledge (for monthly journal processing) also preferable but not essentialWant to know more?
