This major regional referral hospital provides specialist services to a large catchment across south-west Victoria and continues to benefit from significant investment in clinical services and infrastructure.
The Anaesthesia Department supports a busy operating theatre complex delivering a broad range of elective and emergency surgical services, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Endoscopy, while working closely with Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care.
The department has a strong reputation for consultant-led care, multidisciplinary collaboration and high-quality perioperative services, making it an excellent environment for Anaesthetists seeking both clinical variety and opportunities to develop specialist interests.
Requirements
Fellowship of the Australian and Current Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or close to completing Fellowship.
Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) with an ANZCA interview outcome or specialist assessment are encouraged to apply.
UK-trained Consultant Anaesthetists holding CCT are welcome to enquire.
Eligible for, or able to obtain, Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
Interest in Perioperative Medicine, Pain Medicine, education or service development highly regarded.
