About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Podiatrist to join a growing aged care team and provide comprehensive foot care services to elderly residents across residential aged care facilities.
In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting foot health, mobility, comfort, and independence among residents. You will work closely with residents, carers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care.
Key responsibilities
:
Conduct routine foot assessments for aged care residents
Diagnose,



treat, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions
Provide ongoing podiatric care, including treatment of:
Corns and calluses
Fungal infections
Ingrown toenails
Foot pain and mobility-related concerns
Develop and implement preventative care strategies to reduce the risk of falls and foot-related complications
Recommend appropriate footwear and orthotic solutions
Educate residents and care staff on foot care and foot health practices
Deliver foot exercises and mobility support recommendations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualised care plans
Support wound care management and provide advice on assistive devices where appropriate

Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry
Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
