Under closesupervision from experienced industry professionals, this roleoffers an engaging, competency‐based traineeship designed to buildvaluable skills in business administration within Councils Propertyand Fleet teams. Through a blend of formal study and hands‐on,on‐the‐job learning, you will gain practical experience whileworking in a dynamic and professional environment.
Youwill be required to deliver friendly, high‐quality customer serviceto a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams,external customers, government departments and Council leadership.Alongside this, you will support the day‐to‐day administration ofthe Property and Fleet teams, assisting with record keeping andarchiving in line with Council guidelines.
Thisrole provides exposure to a broad range of administrativeactivities. You will assist with the preparation of businessdocumentation aligned with section and division objectives, provideadministrative support across multiple work sites, and helpcoordinate internal and external contractor bookings—gaininginsight into how large‐scale operations are supported behind thescenes.
Thistraineeship is a fantastic opportunity to build transferablebusiness skills, develop professional confidence, and contribute toessential Council services while working towards a nationallyrecognised qualification.
Thisposition will complete a two‐year Certificate IV in Business onlinethrough Central Queensland University.

Qualificationsand Experience
Inan ideal applicant, we are looking for:
Willingness tobe part of, and promote, a positive safety culture whilstadhering to all Health and Safety policies andprocedures.
Minimumcompleted of Year 10 with passes in English andMathematics.
Minimum ofQueensland C class provisional drivers' licence (or ability toobtain).
Sound writtenand verbal communication skills.
Sound computerskills.
Ability to workeffectively and be positively involved within a teamenvironment.
Complete alltraining and assessment requirements of a Certificate IV inBusiness as per the provided training plan. This includesattending and participating in structured formal learning atthe nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as well askeeping an accurate and up to date training recordbook.
