Senior Social Media Specialist
Job Description
Job Summary As Senior Social Media Specialist, you will play a key role in bringing Domain's social strategy to life across our channels. A passionate social content expert, you are up to date with the latest social trends and best practices. You have experience producing end-to-end social media content that drives audience acquisition, brand engagement and revenue goals. You will support the Social Media Manager in translating our Marketing goals into engaging social activity that support our key customer segments. Your innate understanding of what makes for engaging, inspiring and exciting social content will help us excel across our core social platforms - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube. A motivated and curious creative thinker and collaborator, you will partner with relevant stakeholders around the business to deliver a best-in‐class social content experience that positions Domain as the partner for Australians' on their property journeys. This position is open to candidates in Sydney and Melbourne.
What You Will be Doing:
Actively support the implementation of the Domain Group's (Domain, All homes, Commercial Real Estate) social strategy.
Support the Social Media Manager & Head of Production in the daily operations across social media, including the creation and curation of always‐on content, content calendar management, video production and reporting.
Monitor social campaigns and always‐on activity, providing feedback and analytics to stakeholders to drive efficiencies and optimisations.
Work closely with the Digital Acquisition team to ensure the effective and cost efficient delivery of social content campaigns.
Support the Social Media Manager in the delivery of social strategies and assets for Customer Segment Marketing (Consumer & Agent) and represent Social at regular marketing forums.
Proactively generate and pitch editorial and video ideas to the Content Marketing and Video teams that support audience acquisition, brand engagement and revenue goals across our social channels.
Actively help manage risk, reputation and crisis across social media with Customer Service, PR & Communications, Legal and our external agency partners.
Champion, advocate and educate wider business on social best practice and provide recommendations to the business on emerging social channels, tools and trends.
Our Ideal Candidate
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current and upcoming trends in social media, including platform best practice, their demographics, and how they can be deployed in different scenarios.
Strong visual eye across photography and video production.
Experience managing and influencing multiple stakeholders to drive the best outcomes.
A creative thinker with a passion for pop‐culture, lifestyle and social media trends.
Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Degree in Marketing, Communications or Media.
5 years + experience in social media or content marketing.
Experience creating and scheduling content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.
Experience working in multimedia production, including video and photography.
On‐screen confidence and end‐to‐end content creation skills, with the ability to feature as on‐camera talent and self‐edit Reels and TikToks.
Wordpress, Hootsuite, Later and Canva experience are highly favoured.
