School Health Nurse Program -
The Team
You will be welcomed into a highly supportive, team-based environment. As a member of your schools' multidisciplinary Student Wellbeing and Support Team you will work with school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, school social workers and teaching staff. You will stay connected to your regional and statewide school health nurse team via regular online and face to face meetings.
About The Role
As a DECYP School Health Nurse you will be part of the innovative School Health Nurse Program. You will work collaboratively to create a physical and social environment that promotes the good health and wellbeing of students and families. The focus of your work will be developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion and education activities. You will also provide clinical assessment, screening and referrals and support for individual students and groups.

Period of Appointment: Permanent
Hours per fortnight: 76 hours per fortnight
Salary: $102,439 to $109,175 +12% superannuation

We are looking for
Essential
A Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
Desirable
Current driver's licence.
Relevant post-graduate health qualification or other post graduate Paediatric qualification.
Please note: The cost associated with obtaining a RWVP is the responsibility of the individual.
